The 2027 Animal ForensiCon: The Animal Forensic Investigations Conference will be a three-day event, offered in St. Pete Beach, Florida. The conference is hosted by the University of Florida’s Veterinary Forensic Sciences Laboratory.

ForensiCon will offer workshops and educational sessions on a wide variety of topics pertaining to criminal investigations, law, small animal investigations, equine and livestock investigations, and wildlife crimes. This conference is open to anyone interested in animal forensic investigations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with faculty, experts, and investigators.

We hope to see you at Animal ForensiCon! It will be a great opportunity to learn, connect, and grow in all aspects related to animal forensic science.

Continuing Education

The program will be submitted for the AAVSB’s Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE), Continuing Legal Education Credit by the Florida Bar, and Continuing Educational Units by the National Animal Care & Control Association (NACA).

Poster Submission

The Veterinary Forensic Sciences Laboratory invites poster submissions for the 2027 Animal ForensiCon. The poster session offers an opportunity to present research findings with particular emphasis on animal cruelty investigations. The poster session is open to all conference attendees, but we particularly invite students and trainees to submit abstracts for consideration.
